Guest Guests Posted 30/04/07 09:08 AM Share Posted 30/04/07 09:08 AM I done 25k on my Ba diff and snapped about 5 cv's in it, swapped the complete cradle for a 1oook's old BF item and by 5oook's the bush had flogged out, never hurt the ba bush though. Rang ford and got a new bush only to find the BF runs a smaller bush, rang up to get a new one and they said I need to buy a complete cradle as they are a 1 peice item. Took it to my local auto elec to get my new airbag seats reset and a new cat put in and they said they could get a custom bush made for me. Picked it up 2 days later and it's good as new, cost about $1oo for the custom bush.I drove my car hard (Manual), the rear's wouldn't last 3-4 weeks most of the time. And I have never broken a bolt or rear cover but broken cv's hit double digits when I lost count, as soon as I noticed the bush was gone I babied it. Guest Guests Posted 01/05/07 03:24 AM Share Posted 01/05/07 03:24 AM Just a side thort on the matter. If the housing is made out of steel idealy (or cast iron more work) Why would you get the standered housing reworked to take some spherical roller bearings or allike?? I have a full workshop and would help some body out if they are game . I am not going to do it to my car only becourse of haveing a ute and do not have that problem. Please explain further mate, what is it exactly your proposing to do. I am going to take it easy for a bit so I can finish my new engine over winter. Hoping to put together a nice new combo for next summer. I will be keeping an eye out for stronger rear end gear though for my new combo. Maybe I should have bought a ute again..............9 inch detroit locker= no sweat !!!
