it's all fun and games and there's plenty of quick cars out there, though there hasn't been a car that has stayed with me when I've hit fourth gear so far...

Bring it up here Bill, I'll have a shot!!!! :roflmbo:

You will need a new turbo mate to go anywhere over 420rwkw's without a race fuel.

Now wouldn't that be a fun run to watch, two rapid phoons with ridiculous power!

Big Vic Weekend is going to be a ball!

As for the Turbo it being high flowed would it hold up to 460-480rwkw with out race fuel?

Not interested in putting a bigger turbo at this stage. Just want to see what my one will handle first before going down the path of a bigger hair dryer.

It would be a sight but it would have to be from a roll-on as there is not a lot of traction available in the first three gears for yours truly.

Bill, I do not think a modded standard turbo will flow to 470-480rwkw's. From memory, all guys that have modded the standard turbo have got a best of around 450rwkw's or less. The problem (I think from memory) is that once you up the compressor size, the exhaust turbine then becomes too small and then you run into the stocko cast exhaust manifold not being optimal............

See, one thing just leads to another and if you are going to do it once, you may as well do it right! :spoton:

Definately it would have to be a roll-on run, I usually kick it back in second, 4000rpm doing about 80 clicks then the fun begins. Though I think you have a bit too much power for me....I'd run you in your 480 tune but any more power than that is more like me spectating more than anything else.

Thanks for the info regarding the turbo I think I'll leave the car as it is for now coz the costs are going to blowout and with a baby on the way and needing a new palce I think I'll be content with 400+rwkw for a long time yet. It gives some of the boys an opportunity to catch up at least...hehe

Bill, 400 odd rwkw's is a sensational effort mate in anyone's book and in an auto, nothing really will ever touch it.

Ever heard of the law of diminishing returns? Once you get up to a power level, you need a LOT more power to go faster and faster. To be quite honest, I would be lucky to pull away from you until we got up to a pretty silly speed like over 200km/hr where the extra power really does come into play.

Think of it this way, most performance cars are pretty quick to 100km/h - a car length probably equates to .3-.5 second if not more and is really a hard way to judge a cars real potential. The 100-200km/hr sprint is more telling as that is when real power comes into play as the quick cars to 100 run into a proverbial wall after that. Really telling - do a 150 - 250km/hr run and then you will measure absolute multiple car lengths between them and I mean plenty of them. I have watch my speedo go from 150 - 250 like my tacho and it is the only time the car actually really gets traction and can use the power - a roll-on in 4th gear is just an experience to be felt, and then 5th, and then it just keeps pulling in 6th..........

Mate, your car is a weapon and makes a fantastic street car. Any more power is wasted unless like me, all you care about is laughing to yourself how ridiculous it really is.......... :spoton:

Goes to show just how insane the Veyron is, it cracks 3oo clicks in the time it takes most cars to hit 2oo.

I totally agree with your thinking, I gave an example in another thread of when running my uncle's 911 TT on take off with his car capable of 0-100 in something like 3.8 sec and only after 120 clicks I'd reel him in and kept puling as for roll on at 80kms he had no chance. (Too much power) :w00t2:

You said the big power usually comes in top end and that's where I do the damage as the top end charge and torque moves the car past 140clicks your staring at 220 clicks in no time and the guy that once was next to me has his high beams on just to see me in the distance ^_^

I still have Street Action on my desk with your car featured, what a Beast and the process you've gone through to get the car to where it is a credit to you mate. :spoton:

I keep saying it and more ppl are believing me ...Yellow cars pull harder!

I'll leave the laughs to you mate, being in your car would be like a scary theme park ride... :stupid:

For me traction is key as I usually am busy proving what 400rwkw is capable of to big blocks and imports!

You two guys are INSANE!!!! (Billsta & F6 RAPID) I have like half the power of u guys and I think my car is quick! LOL.... I cant even begin to imagine what 400+ rwkw's feels like, I just imagine skating down the road without any knowlege of what traction is... If u asked me if I had the money would I do the same? HELL YEAHHH....

Good onya guys keep the stories coming...

Mike..
