Hi all. I have had my T for a week now and working a few things out. BA 4spd auto.

Previous experiences with Autos was if cruising around in drive you could just bump it back a gear manually and boot it.

With this one you need to push it left still not really knowing what gear you are in you do something. Change down. Then it comes in to its own being sequential. Short answer is to leave it in sports mode so one step is done but if you go into manual mode it stays there until you go out of Sequential and back.

Just wondering how other people drive theres?

Depends on the mood I am in. Mine is strengthened, so alot of the time I like using full manual mode, cos it's fun, but sports mode can be just as fun.

Wife and kids in the car = D

Kids and me only = Perf D

Me = Manual mode

always manual with the power im running I find I can leave it in 4th most of the time and accelerate without the need for it to kick back and put me into a pole :tease:

Really depends on my mood and the conditions.

When on the highway/freeway I leave it in drive. When overtaking on a single lane highway I slip it over to perf and when driving in heavy traffic when it's start/stop all the time I drive it in manual.

Occasionly I'll put it into manual when the mood arises to give it a quick squirt - especially at traffic light GP's :tease:

I used to like manual on the 4 speed but I have found with the ZF that if you floor it in manual mode it will kick back a gear, it can be annoying and give you a fright!

Also, once it has kicked back a gear you manually have to change up again, that is annoying also!
