Hi Muzza 420,

Do you think 285's will fit on the back or are things quite tight with the 275's?

How much room is there once you roll the guards?

10's ON THE BACK!!! OMG  that is awesome, dont know how our gonna go lowerin it though, mine is lowered on 225/20s and only just clear the guards.

Cheers

Gav

These car's even when stock really need a wider tyre, why would you want to go with a smaller tyre again. Im running 265's on the std rims but would love a 295-3o5 rear.

although width of the tyre is good, its not gonna solve your traction issues you actually need a better tyre too. For example if you have 10" wide "wang ping chi" brand tyres its not really gona help no matter how wide.

hi justin,

I am actually in the process of finding out if I can fit the 285's and looking if it will be a comfortable fit.. I will update you once I find out.

Hi Muzza,

Brian runs 285/35/19 Pirelli Corsa's and raves about their grip and performance but dont I know if they are available in 20". Be interesting to see if your rims have the same offset as Brians for he has to run 2 degrees negetive camber for guard clearance.

Look forward to your findings

Generally the cheap rubber like the afore mentioned ping pong brand don't come in the wider widths, but I know what your saying. Quality makes a hell of a difference.

Cheers

Hi Muzza,

I'm fairly new to this forum. I have a M1 BF Typhoon and run 285x30x19 on the rears. I had to roll the guards and add 1 degree negative camber. The tyres touch slightly at speed on road undulations but this is partly caused by the soft suspension. I'm changing to higher rated Kings springs + Bilsteins soon, so that problem should be corrected.
