Venom XR6 Member 1,460 Member For: 21y 6m 24d Location: Geelong Victoria Posted 11/05/07 09:14 AM Share Posted 11/05/07 09:14 AM Sorry to burst the bubble guy's but a BAF7A095AA trans cooler is for 4Speed auto's only.The cooler that is on the 40th aniversary GT(and XR8 6spd auto as well) is actually a Power Steering Fluid cooler and is mounted to the bottom and in front of the A/C condensor.The Typhoon also has a Power Steering Fluid cooler mounted at the top of the A/C condensor above the top intercooler hose.Ford don't market a trans cooler for the ZF as the factory fitted one is fine for normal vehicle operation.But if any one is thinking of sourcing an after market cooler make sure it has the capacity to flow at least 12ltrs/per minute.That makes no sense. They specifically refer to the addition of a better transmission oil cooler on the R spec package, to keep the ZF auto from going into limp mode during what the call spirited driving, which has happened to a number of cars that have hit the track.It may just be a case of Ford Spares not having a part number or stock yet due to the cars recent release.
