Hi All

My car ran 342.4rwhp (256.67rwkw) on the same dyno at the RDP open day. It has run 13.052 / 108.2mph at Willowbank on a warm night (18deg).

My goal is to get into the 12's with a stock car. The only mod is an old K&N filter from my previous car which doesn't make a lot of difference afaikt.

Bring on the cooler weather.

Will do James, better still why don't you just join our club then you'll know what's going on.

We were out at willowbank last Sat but it was too hot for any decent times. My best was only 13.5sec and another club member with 400rwhp could only manage a 13.4sec. I'll give you a yell when the next one is on.

Those number's make a mockery of FPV's power claims, how can 270kws at the engine give 257rwkw's? Is there anyway of reliably measuring engine power? (I remember top gear saying something about letting the car coast down on the dyno to work out the losses through the drivetrain) given 300 Expensive Daewoo kw's equal say 240 rwkw, they must have closer to 320kw stock. Why wouldn't ford want to advertise that to the oppositions followers?

Well my stock T made 316.2HP on the same dyno same day or 235rwkw so beat that  :msm:

:roflmbo:

Ok so we have a car with only a 10kw drivetrain loss. Like I said either ford's lying about the 245kW or the dyno is overly optimistic. The stock T's aren't fast enough to indicate they are making much more than 245kW.

were talking f6's not xr6t's..... 270kw rated :fool:

My T made 338rwhp on RDP open day not long after a yellow F6 made 332rwhp.

The guy I purchased my T from said it had been dynoed at 270rwkw which was more than I had on the day.

Don't know if there was something there though as when I drove car up to que the IC to trottle body hose decided to come off, fixed it ran on dyno and that's what it made on 2nd run which was 3rwhp more.

Std IC I was thinking it would get worse not improve.

Driving home it didn't seem to push as hard but it was a very hot day.

The next morning early I gave her a work out and all seemed fine with enough power to turn my 255 x 19 tyre's in a straight line with no clutch work pulling from about 1800rpm and once climbs to approx 3000 - 3500 rpm it starts turning them.

I was very impressed with that F6 being std and all.

This would explain why F6s are faster than VE HSVs in the car mag tests. Wheels and Motor both recently tested a F6 (same car?) that ran low 5s for 0-100 and smoked the HSV (so much for 0-100 in under 5s).

Does this make the Phoon the fastest Aussie production car of all time?

Mate give yourself a triple upper cut. The EZ2CME owns an XR6T not an F6 :roflmbo:
