QLD Posted 15/03/07 05:00 AM Share Posted 15/03/07 05:00 AM Got another problem with the T.. :( It was leaking power steering fluid (a leaky hose), and since then, its been making a 'cracking' noise when turning the steering wheel. It seems to be working fine, and the fluid is topped up. The crack usually occurs when turning it away from 'centre'. So if the wheels are pointing straight, and I turn the steering left/right, it'll crack. If turn it further from that point, the cracking is intermitten and seems random. I'm hoping my steering pump isn't buggered... any ideas?

Ford service fixed it by doing something to the steering rack. Not sure exactly what anymore.

Bit hit n' miss like most Ford solutions actually
