Guest Guests Posted 15/03/07 03:34 AM Share Posted 15/03/07 03:34 AM What the heck is a spoon drain? ←Kalgoorlie has no drainage and as a consequence all the roadside kerbs are about 30cm high (good for front bars - not!!!) and all of the east/west roads have these so called spoon drains that channel the water down the slopes and into a town collection dam for redistribution. They are basically just a dip in the middle of the roadSome of these spoon drains will launch your car at 60km/h so a little bit of local knowledge goes a long way. After about the third time of bottoming out you tend to work out a better route or learn to slow down
