Ba N/a Build Costs

G'day all, ove time I have been doing a build on my BA XT N/A 6 it has taken roughly 12 months and below is a list of what I have done and how much it cost me and also I approx cost of the same tobuy new or get some do build for me so retail price.

I have had a very limited budget to work with as most of us do.

I have added threads all over the place on parts done like exhaust etc etc.

As I go I am increasingly receiving pm asking questions about things have done, Mind you I dont mind getting the pm's I like helping fellow members out, I just thought coming to the end of the build at this piont I would put the list up and people can see that you dont have to spend a fortune to be able to get a competetive car.

I have also added a quick summary of where I got the stuff and I assureyou it has all been attained legitimatley.

The first dollar amount is the amount I paid the second is if I went and paid for the part brand new and to get someone to put them on.

Like I said the amount I paid are true to fact but a lot of hours by myself have gone into building and stuff so that kept costs down, The Retail costs have been ascertained by ringing for example an exhaust shop explaining what I wanted and getting a quote and the going with the average.

So hopefully this ill give some of you guys an idea on how to get things done without a huge budget.

Results

Bit dissappionting but I have buggered in one area that made it impossible to tune the car correctly and that is the 160 degree thermostat, it is to low.

for the mods I have done going by the conversion chart I have approx 163kw at th rear wheels now which is about 218.4hp and before the rdp computer it was around 159kw or 214hp at the rears

But I was told because of the thermostat I have alot of power there that is being wasted so I will change back to standard and get another dyno done one day and tune so it can be tune more accuratley as it really buggered the fuel mixtures and so up bad.

I'm a tad higher than your totalled cost... but I think I'm around the 250rwhp... Any way.. You've done EXTREMELY well there...

makes me very sad.. all that money gone to waste...

I think you forgot to mention the cost of Cartons you gave your brother...

Cartons are mates rates, brothers work for free...at least that's what my brother says whenever he wants some work done...
