I've owned my XR6 for about 6 months (brought it second hand) and always used 91, but the km's I get per tank are pretty . Performance is about what I expect for a stock XR6....I'm now wondering if switching to 95RON would see any noticeable difference in km's per tanks and/or performance..... You need to run a few tanks of 95 or 98 through to really see the benefits.I ran my AUII XR6 on 98 most of the time, but if I ran 91 the fuel economy would drop by 50-60ks per tank.I have had similar results in most of my cars. Regardless of how the car is tuned, higher octane means a more efficient burn and less fuel is needed to get the same results as a lower octane fuel.Premium fuels are generally cleaner and the cleaner burn means less engine deposits and fewer injector cleans. I filled up today, and reset the trip computer so should know by the end of the week is the new sensor helped. I'm still driving like a grandma though... THough that I may try 95 RON and see I can get a few more km's out of the tank. It will take a few weeks to retune to the better fuel but they run better, cooler, less wear and better fuel economy on the higher octane fuel.....
