It's a case of doing whatever your mate wants....just in case we may need them to help us in the future. Makes perfect sence to any realistic person.

Labour supported it at the start, and Rudd has mentioned countless times in recent interviews that he would have done the same, but would be pulling them out sooner. Will be very interesting to see what labour does if they win - I'm guessing nothing.

No guess required.

The scariest things about voting for Johnie, no particular order.

1 He lies ( GST NEVER EVER, Children overboard )

2 No concern for environment until polls indicate downward spiral

3 He's in bed with greedy multinationals

4 He believes George Bush is a good man

5 Memory is shot ( AWB saga)

6 Never know what he will do next ( Work choises )

7 Too old and out of touch

8 Will hand reigns to Costello if re-elected

9 Will aprove the sale of any Australian company or icon

10 Arrogant, plays us all for fools

11 Supplies $300m to terrorist dictator then sends our armed forces to war.

12 Grants himself a tax cut on said $300m ( got to pay for the war somehow)

13 Keeps too much information undisclosed ( for benefit of public Ha Ha )

14 Disappears overseas whenever he is under pressure

15 Doesn't allow others to speak (watch him when interviewed )

16 Sends his competitors to jail when under pressure (Pauline Hanson)

17 Allows 900 000 foreign workers in Australia ( increase of 900% over previous figure )

18 Supplies jobs for his already wealthy mates, while hard working Aussie companies fold ( King Gee, National Textiles)

19 Little or no Knowledge of the word battler

20 Will happily sh*t on his mate to make himself look clean ( Perth MP)

Believe it or not I used to vote Liberal

(quote)

Enlighten me then. How has workchoices made you worse off?

And I'm not talking about a mate of the next-door neighbour's girlfriend's brother’s cousin, and I'll be convinced.

Real world example:

I'm an Electrician, not my neighbour, girl, cousin or whatever

Boss says Steve go and power up that train under construction I wan't to see the lights work ( 240 Volts ).

Steve: Allen that train is not ready to be powered up it's not safe to do so.It has not been tested, there are no protective covers installed and there are 10 blokes working on said train it's too dangerous.

Allen: Steve are you refusing your duty

Steve: No there is a real safety risk there may be a problem someone may become electrocuted.

Allen: Steve you are refusing your duty, power up that train I want to see the lights work

Steve: Al, I will happily power up the lights after testing circuit, installing protective covers and wait for lunch time for the other blokes to leave train.

Allen: Do you refuse to power up train? (Al's voice gets very heated)You are refusing your duty!

Steve:No I want to follow correct procedure, it may be lethal

Allen: Steve come over to the office

10 minutes pass Allen comes out with my termination papers. I leave site, ring union (not a member). Union calls Allen and threatens to take him to IRC.

Next day I'm re-employed.

If the same senario happened today I would be unemployed and have no chance of getting a good reference,

probably be labeled a trouble maker and be risking a fine by trying to get union involved.

Turns out there was a Active to Earth fault, so it was potentialy leathal. Convinced??????

....except that you can sue him yourself for unfair dismissal (depending on all of the circumstances) rather than gettin a union envolved.

But then you have to ask yourself why you would want to work there anyway? :stirthepot:

1 He lies ( GST NEVER EVER, Children overboard )

EVERY POLITICIAN LIES, IT IS THE MAIN QUALIFICATION FOR THE JOB

2 No concern for environment until polls indicate downward spiral

NEITHER DOES LABOUR, NO ONE CAN IF THEY WANT AN ECONOMY AND JOBS. GIVE ME AN EXAMPLE OF ONE COUNTRY THAT IS TRULY PRO ENVIRONMENT

3 He's in bed with greedy multinationals

SO IS EVERY GOVERNMENT AND THEY NEED TO BE TO KEEP JOBS IN OUR COUNTRY.

4 He believes George Bush is a good man

I THINK HE REALISES THAT GWB IS A MORON, BUT CANNOT DO MUCH TO REMIDY THE SITUATION

5 Memory is shot ( AWB saga)

SELECTIVE MEMORY IS THE SECOND MOST NEEDED QUALIFICATION TO BEING A POLITICIAN

6 Never know what he will do next ( Work choises )

WORK CHOICES WERE ALWAYS MENTIONED AS WAS GST. IT IS JUST THE IGNORANT WHO DO NOT READ, WATCH OR LISTEN TO THE NEWS THAT WERE SUPRISED BY IT.

7 Too old and out of touch

HOW ABOUT SEASONED AND CONSERVATIVE. HE HAS HIS VIEWS AND STICKS TO IT. SOME MAY BE OLD FASHIONED, BUT HE IS NEARLY 70

8 Will hand reigns to Costello if re-elected

THE PARTY WILL VOTE WHO WILL TAKE THE REIGNS, JH HAS ONLY ONE VOTE.

9 Will aprove the sale of any Australian company or icon

I THINK YOU WILL FIND THE LABOUR GOVERNMENT IS MUCH WORSE. THEY SOLD OFF MANY GOVERNEMNT OWNED BUSINESSES IN THE '80'S AS HAVE THE VIC LABOUR GOVENRMENT.

10 Arrogant, plays us all for fools

THIS IS TYPICAL OF EVERY GOVERNMENT.

11 Supplies $300m to terrorist dictator then sends our armed forces to war.

I THINK YOU WILL FIND IT WAS THE AWB WHO DID THIS. THEY ARE NOT THE GOVERNMENT, BUT A SINGLE DESK WHEAT SELLER.

12 Grants himself a tax cut on said $300m ( got to pay for the war somehow)

HUH ?, HE GETS PAID UNDER $300K A YEAR TO RUN THE COUNTRY, I DO NOT KNOW WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT

13 Keeps too much information undisclosed ( for benefit of public Ha Ha )

THERE NEEDS TO BE SECRETS IN EVERY GOVERNMENT.

14 Disappears overseas whenever he is under pressure

ALL HIS TRIPS ARE PLANNED WELL IN ADVANCED. THEY ALSO HAVE TV AND REPORTERS IN THE COUNTRIES HE VISITS, SO THERE IS NO GETTING AWAY FROM A PROBLEM.

15 Doesn't allow others to speak (watch him when interviewed )

HE IS A LEADER AND ANSWERS A QUESTION WHEN ASKED. AGAIN VAGUE EXAMPLE

16 Sends his competitors to jail when under pressure (Pauline Hanson)

I THINK YOU WILL FIND THAT WAS THE QLD LABOUR PARTY THAT GOT PAULINE. SHE ALSO DID NOT PLAY BY THE RULES OF BEING A CANDIDATE. SHE WAS ALSO SENT TO JAIL WELL AFTER SHE HAD LOST HER PARTY/SEAT/ELECTIONS. ALSO A COURT FOUND HER GUILTY, NOT A PRIME MINISTER.

17 Allows 900 000 foreign workers in Australia ( increase of 900% over previous figure )

YEP AND WE STILL NEED MORE, OUR UNEMPLOYMENT RATE IS UNDER 5%. HE IS SEEING THE FUTURE AND IS TRYING TO BRING IN PEOPLE WHO WILL WORK FOR MINIMUM WAGE AND DO THE JOBS US AUSTRALIANS ARE TO LAZY TO DO.

18 Supplies jobs for his already wealthy mates, while hard working Aussie companies fold ( King Gee, National Textiles)

I THINK YOU WILL FIND THAT THESE COMPANIES WERE ALREADY IN TROUBLE. THE GOVERNMENT DID NOTHING TO THESE PLACES, THEY FAILED DUE TO NOT BEING ADAPTIVE. (MY DAD RAN KING GEE FOR MANY YEARS)

19 Little or no Knowledge of the word battler

DO YOU MEAN DOLE BLUDGER ? THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS THE BATTLER, THIS IS JUST A LABOUR WORD THEY BRING UP ALL THE TIME. LIFE IS WHAT A PERSON MAKES FOR THEMSELVES, THEY CAN SMOKE ABD DRINK THEIR MONEY AWAY AND THEN CRY POOR OR USE THE MONEY TO MAKE THEMSELVES BETTER. THE GOVERNMENT IS NOT THEIR TO RUN THEIR LIVES.

20 Will happily sh*t on his mate to make himself look clean ( Perth MP)

I DO NOT KNOW ABOUT THIS ISSUE, BUT I DOUBT JH WOULD DO SOMETHING LIKE THIS.

THE EXAMPLE YOU GAVE ABOUT WORK CHOICES IS TOTALLY HYPOTHETICAL. THIS DID NOT HAPPEN UNDER WORK CHOICES, SO IT IS POINTLESS BRINGING IT UP AS AN EXAMPLE. IF YOU WERE SACKED UNDER WORK CHOICES USING THIS EXAMPLE, YOU COULD GET WORKCOVER OR THE COMPANY THAT WAS CONTRACTING YOUR BOSS AS THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE. I GUARANTEE THAT WORKCOVER WOULD DO MORE THAN ANY UNION TO SORT OUT YOUR BOSS.

WE HAVE NOT SEE MASS SACKINGS, WE HAVE NOT SEE BUSINESSES MAKING PEOPLE WORK FOR $2 PER HOUR ON 15 HOURS SHIFTS. THE UNIONS KNOW THAT THEIR TIME IS LIMITED AND THEIR POWERS HAVE BEEN ERODED. THIS IS A GOOD THING. WE HAVE SEE WORK CHOICES ALLOW EMPLOYEES HAVE AN ABILITY TO NEGOTIATE WITH THEIR BOSSES ON CONDITIONS AND PAY THAT SUITS THEIR NEEDS. WHILE IT IS NOT IDEAL, IT IS BETTER THAN THE 200+ AWARDS THAT EXISTED BEFORE AND THE CONFUSION ON WHAT PAY AND CONDITIONS SOMEONE COULD BE ON.

IF YOU ARE GOING TO MAKE CLAIMS ABOUT SOMETHING, PLEASE USE SPECIFIC EXAMPLES, OTHERWISE IT IS POINTLESS DRIBBLE ABOUT SOEMTHING YOU APPEAR TO KNOW NOTHING ABOUT.

Well said. But it just goes to show how easily led people can be by Labour/Union propaganda.

If you're going to criticise anyone over GST, Liberal went to an election with the GST as their policy, Labour went to an election with a promise to roll back the GST. Now they say they will increase it. All pollies are bad, but some parties have a proven history of being disasterous.

On the work choices example. The matter was illegal before work choices, and still is after work choices.

Liberal introduced GST after coming into power after Johny's statement "NEVER EVER"

Agreed- this matter was illegal before and after work choises.

The course of action now- hire a lawer to represent myself to re-gain my position.

This is not ecconomically viable, particularly when I've been sacked.

As said before I don't agree with everything unions do but I need their protection.

There are some real world examples. BTW I think your caps lock button is stuck, my friend.

Why would you want to work there anyway? Why would you hire a lawyer to get re-employed in an unsafe workplace?

Yet to see any REAL examples.

11 AWB was a government controlled body until this scandal broke out. Then with the stroke of a pen they become a stand alone body. When they had an inquiry Johnie set the terms that he or any of his

staff would not be found guilty. The findings have been hiden for public view. Why have an inquiry when outcome is already determined.

12 AWB (Johnie) paid $300m to Saddam, then granted AWB a tax cut on bribe.

15 Watch him on 7:30 report, has a great ability to talk over interviewer, avoid questions that only require a yes or no and waste what limited time he makes available.

16 Do you really want Aussies to compete with teams of Asian (not being racist , just being specific) tradesman, who live in a Tarago van onsite? (Gosford RSL Club) Wonder how much of their wage stays in Australia?

18 Shame on your dad, Does he vote Liberal also?

20 Johnie sacked his minister (Anderson) in Perth over Brian Boure Affair in an attempt to slander Rudd over meeting which Anderson also attended.

Example happened like it or not. Totally real, even the names.

Another example; Apprentice recently killed on Kooragang Island. Workcover investigates, finds employer guilty of his death when scaffold comes into contact with power lines. Company goes into recievership, begins trading under another name. Young fellows family gets nothing.

Brilliant job Workcover, glad to have you looking after my interests.

The reason I wanted job back was to collect 5 years worth of redundancy, not because I enjoyed working there.
