I don't think much will come of all this as TEGA the investigating body is a joke.

Allowing Mark Skaife to hold the possition of TEGA DIRECTOR makes the whole idea of having a unbiased governing body a pathetic joke.

Bring back production car racing as the number one catagory I say.

Wot he said.

HRT gets green light to race in V8s (surprise surprise  )

Mark Skaife's Expensive Daewoo Racing Team will be on the starting grid for round two of the V8 Supercar Championship Series in Perth next weekend after an agreement was reached with governing body TEGA.

Skaife Sports and the Touring Car Entrants Group Australia (TEGA) have agreed in principle to a financial settlement that will see the team have their licences to race reinstated upon signing of a deed of release early next week.

The agreement follows weeks of complex legal scrutiny to ensure Skaife Sports was compliant with the ownership and control provisions of the Teams Licence Agreement (TLA).

"Conditional upon TEGA's approval of certain agreements, TEGA will be satisfied that the (HRT) team will be compliant with the relevant provisions of the TLA in the future," TEGA chairman Kelvin O'Reilly said.

"The Team will be subject to stringent regular and random checks and disclosure to ensure ongoing compliance with the TLA and could not expect any leniency if breaches are detected.

"It has been an extraordinarily complex issue that has taken a great deal of time to work through and TEGA is satisfied that it has reached a commercial settlement that is in the best interests of the sport, the fans, sponsors and associated stakeholders."

Skaife Sports director Mark Skaife was relieved the situation had finally been resolved.

"We at HRT are glad that this situation is being resolved in a positive fashion and we can now fully focus on the business of going motor racing," Skaife said.

"It is unfortunate that this situation has occurred and we look forward to a positive and co-operative relationship between the team and TEGA in the future.

The TLA is designed to ensure that every team competing in the V8 Supercar Championship Series does so on an even footing, ensuring that teams are independently owned.

It prohibits a situation where there is cross ownership or control of more than one team.

TEGA have been concerned about cooperation between HRT and HSV Dealer Team, as well as the involvement of the previous owner of both teams Tom Walkinshaw.

Last month TEGA threatened to revoke the licences of HRT - featuring drivers Skaife and Todd Kelly - and HSV Dealer Team - boasting reigning champion Rick Kelly and Garth Tander - if requests for clarification of ownership and control were not met.

HSV Dealer owners John and Margaret Kelly - the parents of drivers Todd and Rick - were able to prove compliance before the February deadline.

Skaife failed but was handed a two-week reprieve which enabled he and teammate Todd Kelly to contest the season-opening Clipsal 500 in Adelaide.

Dam I didn't think that would happen, I really thought HRT HSV would be banned for the first lap but allowed to continue racing after that as it is only a minor breach of the rules, it's not as if they committed speeding in pit lane now is it.

We all need to tell TEGA what we think of there :pooh::pooh::pooh: .

Bring back production car racing and don't let TEGA,avesco or cams anywhere near it. :gooff:

How much weight does gmh have in these decissions. :gooff:

All Ford teams take note, You are allowed to combine together and run as per one team sharing all data and drivers until you are found out.

Don't worry as you won't get even a drive through penality from doing so.

It works both ways don't it :msm::roflmbo::roflmbo: no you will get banned for life and have to wash gmh toilets as punishment.

Its all just a big :roflmbo: joke.

So who's watching hrthsv win the next round.

If bignose had to "Settle'" with TEGA then he breached the rules. This would also indicate that HSV Toll ARE in bed with HRT, yet there is no penalty for last years disgraceful championship, where there was blatant sharing of information between Toll and HRT.

As with most people I have given up watching V8's in any comitted way. If it is on I may watch it, even my wife is suprised when I tell her to watch what she wants and I will go and do something productive.

GT Production cars is much better racing IMHO as is A1 and CART.

The V8 can go and suck :spoton:
