Thanks for the well wishes guys.

It should be a challenging run tommorrow. I've met my competition, and I can tell you they are not sloppy drivers. Both are regular kart racers, and one of them has been driving formula ford.

We've all done the same time within 0.02 seconds of each other as our best lap, so its going to come down to who has the strongest nerve (and the biggest balls on high speed corners) on the day.

We kick off tommorrow at 11am in circular quay. Rosberg is up first, then the rest of us have a go. Feel free to come down for a look see if you're in the city.

Time for a good nights sleep. I'll let you all know how I go.

p.s. in terms of the prize, I have no idea what cars we get to drive, or track, or country the final is held in. I guess the winner finds out later on in the year.

cheers.

Sucky rules though..

He's already won the competition but has to race off with the other guys that didn't win to get the trip? Must be like the Irish lottery :fool:

Anyhoo, congrats to your son. :stupid:

Hey guys, I didn't win.

An important lesson was learnt today. I took it too conservative and paid the price of losing.

There's always next year :)

cheers,

Dave.

As they say "no guts, no glory".

The organisers decided to change the braking setup of the cars (it had computer assist baraking), so the guys had 1 practice lap to re-learn braking points.

Rosberg was a bit anxious, but he did well considering he had not seen this track before.

Well done anyway..... still a free trip to Europe would have been fun!
