Jack Collapse - A Warning

Last week an owner of a modded XR6T Ute brought his jack in for us to see!

Hole Hell this thing looked like a piece of twised tin foil.

That day he had used the jack to change his rear tyres twice and on the second occasion had just located the last rear tyre on the studs and whammo, down comes the ute.

A very chilling reminder to what is written in every handbook and on factory scissor jacks - do NOT get under the car if it is resting solely on that apparatus!

Too right there dingah... they hardly look like they could hold themselves up let alone a car.

Close call...

Jack :roflmbo:

Thanks for the reminder guys. I'll make sure I never get under a car supported by a jack. You know sometimes you say to yourself 'Ah, I'll be alright!'. Never again.
