Have owned a BA 4sp auto and now a BF Series II ZF auto. No contest. The BF in standard tune would have owned the mildly tickled 250rwkw BA. The BF ZF with anywhere near 300RW + is quick.... real quick to 60 / 80 k's. Agreed. Thread closed. No contest.

Surely you're not suggesting that a stock BF would out do a 250rwkw BA :spoton:

Typo right?

Based purely on seat-of-the-pants, I'd say it'd be fairly close :nono:

The ZF gives plenty of punch off the line, where as the BA 4-speed auto is an absolute slug off the line unless you're stalling it up (in comparison).

more gears to choose but also more gears to shift. If it was an NA engine I would say ZF hands down at rolling speeds as well, but because of the wide torque range of the turbo, the 4 speed plays with it well and allows each stretch of gear to perform at its best.

my dad has a BF ute with the ZF auto making around 250-260rwkw, it is quite quick to 60km/h but it has shift improvements done as well.

having driven both 4spd auto and 6spd auto in stock trim I would say the BF (is ute vs sedan a fair comparison?? :roflmbo: )

:roflmbo: am I missing something, but I didn't think that edit was able to do this yet?

Otherwise what do you mean by shift improvement ???

BF

no contest

close thread

Dewd, how can you be so sure???

According to published test results, the BA was the only one to achieve 0-100 in under 6 seconds.

From what I have seen/read, the BF never has :roflmbo:

I am talking about stock V stock XR6T's.

Funny everyone is assuming Autos and writing off the BA.

What about manuals BA V BF.

To many tossers in look at me and my spaceship of a gearbox, learn to drive and not just become a steerer.

Well of to take cover for the beatings coming my way tada.
