Based purely on seat-of-the-pants, I'd say it'd be fairly close

The ZF gives plenty of punch off the line, where as the BA 4-speed auto is an absolute slug off the line unless you're stalling it up (in comparison).

how about at rolling speeds they would have to be very close say if both were 300 rwkw

Fair assumption - the only difference being that the ZF will have more gears to choose from.

more gears to choose but also more gears to shift. If it was an NA engine I would say ZF hands down at rolling speeds as well, but because of the wide torque range of the turbo, the 4 speed plays with it well and allows each stretch of gear to perform at its best.

Stock ZF faster than 250rwkw BA 4spd?

my dad has a BF ute with the ZF auto making around 250-260rwkw, it is quite quick to 60km/h but it has shift improvements done as well.

having driven both 4spd auto and 6spd auto in stock trim I would say the BF (is ute vs sedan a fair comparison?? )

According to published test results, the BA was the only one to achieve 0-100 in under 6 seconds.

From what I have seen/read, the BF never has

I am talking about stock V stock XR6T's.
