If anyone could help I'd really appreciate it....

A while ago I took my T into Ford who supposedly tightened the bolts on my turbo, and then charged me for it.... only for it all to go loose again 1 week later.... Instead of getting reamed again by those 1diots I took it to my local mechanic, who tightened everything up and used loctite......

NOW, here's the interesting bit :

- When under acceleration, I still get quite an audible whooshing sound, which I never used to be able to hear with the windows up....

- Car feels like crap..... doesn't not seem to spool up or pull very well at all.... :crybaby:

MODS -

Car is pretty standard. (auto) .. only things are :

- SS Inductions intake

- F6 Intake

I've already done the solenoid maintenance tip posted here, which made the car feel good for about 3 days.... now, it just doesn't feel right......

Can some of you experts / car gods out there, PLEASE PLEASE give me some suggestions ?? I'm not enjoying driving my car at the moment, as I know there is something just not right with it......

Sorry this may be very general, but please fire away on any questions, and I can fill in any blanks...

my thoughts....

- exhaust / CAT ???

- Loose turbo again ?

- dead solenoid ?

something else ?? :spoton: GOLDIE ?? :pooh: someone else ??? anybody ???

HELP !!!! :crybaby: please

Sounds like a boost leak.

Check all your hoseclamps and hoses, and also make sure you remove and check the small interconnecting rubber betwen the throttle body and x-over, as this has been known to split.

Good luck :spoton:

Ninka,

Thank you... will get right on that...... Maybe I should talk to our Poleposition friend, and change the hoses over while I'm at it.....

I feel the Mod bug biting soon......

THANKS AGAIN....

Loose bolts on a exhaust system is not going to cause a air gushing sound but at worst and if you can even hear it it will cause a farting sound. Whooshing sound is going to be from something loose on your intake side. If they are the only 2 mods your car has your car should have an audible sound when the turbo is in action but shouldn't be overly loud unless your car is edited.

p.s what loctite did your mechanic use, a turbo gets extremely hot and you would want to make sure that the correct temp rated thread locker is used.

edit: do as Ninka said
