Anti-virus

Until tonight I had Norton Internet Security 2007 installed. I just got fed up with how slow my PC had become as a result and decided to piss it off.

What do you guys use? What do you recommend?

Perhaps I should mention that because my Mac can also run Windows, I use Norton Anti-Virus in that without any problems at all....other than the cost.

I run Norton as well... not on a Mac though.

Maybe it's just you who is slow flukey?

How has it slowed down your computer? Mine seems to run just as it has all the time...

Norton sucks! It really sucks resources and slows down the PC. I have used McAfee and don't mind that.

I now use nothing!!!! I have two drives, one I use for serious work (no porn) and the other I use for whatever, downloading cracks etc. That way if I get a virus on that drive I don't care, just reinstall every now and then.

norton-give-ya-a-virus is shocking.. takes control of EVERYTHING.

I used AVG and regular spybot searches. seems to do alright!

every windows needs re-installing after 12 months or so its just sh*t

I use McAfee but only because it came with the computer, its good thou.

If you are looking for a free one Avast or AVG are pretty good

Stay away from Norton, its just too invasive.

I'm with Rob, but I dont use the partition for work it just stores all my pRon.

I reckon 90% of virus's are propogated by these companies just so you'll use there product....

I am with dags on the fact that most of the virusses are from the virus companies.
