Engine Number

Anyone know what happens with the engine number when you replace the engine with an Atomic short motor? And also, where is the engine number?

You would get a new number with the new block. You tell your RTA about the change and they record it in their books.

Its just above the sump on the drivers side IIRC.

When I bought a new short motor from Ford, it came without any number

I stamped the number of my old motor in the new block.
