I just bought a BA Mk 1 XR6 Turbo Ute, the brakes seem to be on the way out, should I stick with the stock pads as the whole car is stock or go for something better?

There are several round that are a hundred times better than standard..

Now is the time to use the advice here wisely

A friend who is in the trade recommended I speak to this mob and get their opinion, I have copied and pasted their email:

We have a Ferodo Racing pad, DS Performance, which fits your

requirements. It is a high performance road pad that is supplied into

top end original equipment programs, which offers good cold performance,

excellent stopping power, and low dust and noise. We have it in stock to

suit your car, the price is $196 per set (4 pads) inc GST.

The Ferodo pad having low dust is the funniest thing ive heard in ages. They are dustiest pad on the planet but do there job exceptionally well.

Sorry to drag up an old thread but it's still relevant I guess. :blaah:

I'm planning on getting some DBA 4000 slotted rotors, any updates on the best pads to use for spirited street driving?

Still QFM, RB74, EBC Reds?

Having a trawl around for info I stumbled across this.

Keep in mind the DBA 4000 are good for about up to 630 degrees C.

I have these rotors, with Ferrodo Formula pads, and the dust that comes off them is stupidity!

I clean the rims, take it for a 1 minute drive with very normal braking (nothing hard or fast) and you can run your finger on the rims and get a black finger. They work great but are dusty as a mutha farker!
