Just saying that it is better is not much help blonk - be specific - why is it better?

I can accept rods - though all of them seem comfortable at 300rwkw so far.

So... If we were to take a standard F6 - and add bigger intercooler, injectors, fuel pump and edit and compare to XR with bigger intercooler, injectors, fuel pump and edit and clutch - what will make the F6 better?

What I am getting at - I would like 300rwkw - what would mean an F6 is better?

If you took a standard BF Phoon and a BF T , applied the same mods then yes, pretty equal from a power perspective. The Phoon will however corner better and stop better than a stock T . :w00t2:

Plus look sh*t loads better whilst hosing the T through the twisties

as of april 06 all T's share the same rods and valve springs as the phoon motors so guessing it is a level playing field if you have one of these cars

Dont get me wrong - I would buy the Phoon if it was my main toy - or money wasnt an object, but....

I think an XR with the mods as discussed, and with bigger sway bars, lowered, will hose any standard F6 and still come out with change.

Particularly in NZ, the F6 is way more expensive.

PS - the brakes - yep - agreed - F6 wins there, though cost wise you can do better.

I prefer the look of the XR to the F6 personally, particularly the rear of the car. The interior - I have the custom pack - and reckon it is equal to the F6.

I agree that the F6 is a better base package, and more exclusive for sure. But... I think for me and many others a modified XR is a more realistic package - and the crazy modders - what they start as is irrelevant - as they replace everything!

yes for the same price tag you can build an xr that will hose a phoon in every way possible, but you will never get a phoon owner to admit that
