Does the tail gate even have a recess for the badge? just looks stuck on to me.

I say whip it off if you miss it later on you can always stick it back on.

no recess on utes, only sedans.

there are the locator holes though

I have taken all my badges off. Looks meaner, cleaner and unique. You will need to fill the holes and re-spray the tail gate.

I can't understand why you would take the Ford logo off and then have XR6 as your number plate. Do you or do you not want the vehcile branded?

My plates are nothing along xr6, and I m not taking the badged off not to be branded, I mean every1 knows its ford. I m taking em off just for looks, I can always put them back on.

And I m keeping the ford badge on for now. Ute looks so much meaner and cleaner with out the other badges.

Hey Mate,

I think it would look tougher and cleaner without the badge, but if it were me I couldn't justify spending a couple of hundred dollars on patching up the hole and respraying the tailgate.

But hey as newl said its what appeals to you in the end and what you would be happy with. Trust your judgement!

Take it off! Smoother and cleaner is always better!! If you can afford to get the hole filled then do it.

Any one know if those toneau hole plugs will fit the centering hole for the badge? May be an easy way to fill the hole temporarily.
