One of my mechanic mates did it for me. What he did is take of the BOV and replace it with a 90 degree hose. This I have only done a few days ago but the car was running slow a long time before I done this. Will this do damage or effect the engine in anyway?

Does your mechanic mate owns the VY (lol)!

Get the car checked by someone who knows what to look for.

I have a stock BA T and the heat playes a major issue in my cars performance during the heat wave here in Melb... Its like u have to 'try' and be quick.. as aposed to a cold night when the car is just lovin it and ya cant help but give in to it....

I dont think its your problem just something to think about. How does your car go at night time or in cooler weather?

Also check out the boost solinoid maintenance thread as it can also make a car feel lazy.

try disconnecting the battery for a few minutes to clear the driving style learned by your old man driving - then when you reconnect the adaptive learning will begin to recognise your driving style. Whenever you get a new car with adaptive learning you need to do this to clear the last persons style from the ECU. I not saying your Dad is a Nana just the car is attempting to drive the way it has learned.

Why do some people lack simple fault finding skills? If you removed the BOV and it runs like :pooh: have you thought about putting it back on to see if this is the problem?

And seriously, why did you remove it in the first place? Think it will give you more power?? It will lessen the service life of your turbo :spoton:

In short, PUT IT BACK ON
