The rims look nice...some extra 30-40kw's of grunt would have been handy...don't know about the bulge stickers being so close to the bonnet stickers, they should've went one way or another....maybe should've had a Cobra reference instead of the "Jap" R-Spec crap that every other ricer has...

They have already had a cheap arse take on the GT40, I dont think they should add the Cobra mix for the names.

I like the black and gold though - looks good. though... something special power wise wouldnt have been hard would it?

With regards to this car, I don't understand why Ford haven't embraced the aftermarket, they have now done so much of the 'leg work' for them with regards to what works and what doesn't, another 40kw is nothing on these cars and it's EPA and all that legal as well. Ready to go, reliable, everything. It's a peice of p!ss. But no. They add sh!t that does nothing, that adds no value, and doesn't make the car really special. Really limited edition.

They really had a chance here to make something special and once again they added stripes, THEY ALREADY HAVE STRIPES, and some stupid badging.

Why was the GT HO so hot back in the day? Because it was a GT? Yes, somewhat. Moreso because it was an absolutely honking ball tearer from the factory, that is what built the legend. If you look at Ford and GM as a whole, the cars they are now trying to bring back as factory specials (GT, GT40, Camaro) WERE factory specials, not rehashed copies. Not half hearted attempts to cash in...

Dissapointing, so was the EL GT, dont mention the EA GT which looked OK but they only made one and crushed it. GT stands for Grand Tourer and this car fits the bill as a grand tourer. But to then Auissie public GT means something specvial, a real ball tearer, this is not.

Cocaine may be gods way of telling you that you have to much monety, this is Fords way.

Dissapointed and pissed of, what do little kiddies have to drool about theses days.

well the general concensus here seems to be that it looks good

and I am also agreeing that the lack of power is another huge mistake that ford have made, but as the car industry seems to be these days in australia the enthusiasts dont seem to matter

350kw GT40 with centre and side stripes or even just some go in the low rev range would've been the way to go

no buldge stripes
