I live in victoria and if anyone can help me out with some education and the like it would be greatly appreciated!so far the only thing I've got a quote on is the exhaust system that reads like this. " Pacemaker Headers, Metalic Hi Flow Cat, 2 1/2 mandral bent exhaust $1000"Is this good? It was from a custom place in Dandenong. Also, wat are some good tires I could put on my 17's? I'd probably spend $250 a tire? Please Help Me!-lukee85
Guest Guests Posted 02/03/07 06:10 AM Share Posted 02/03/07 06:10 AM First things I would suggest would be:CAPA flash tuner - $1000Typhoon lower snorkel - $70Exhaust system - $1000Custom tune - $400As for tyres, I would say go for TOYO proxes or stick with the SP9000's.Hope this helps

The 245 dunlops would lose traction at will in 1st and 2nd, where the BF Goodrich I just can't get to spin, and are even good in the wet. I've heard good things of of the dunlop maxx sports also, you can check out tirerack.com to compare afew tyres.

Find out whether its stainless or Mild steel. At that price its probably mild steel but that's fine. I got my mild steel package for $1550 from Herrod back in May-July of 2005 and It was a great addition for the N/A without having to modify the engine. The best things you can look at is Breathing mods. The BA Engine is surprisingly responsive to just removing restriction in the air flow path . I would suggest a K&N direct replacement air filter if you don't want to mess with the Intake structure. If you want to do something a Bit more I'd look at some of the Air boxes provided and go for a Full POD filter setup with either Drift or K&N. I had bad experiences with "RAMPOD" and changed to a K&N filter eventually. From there I would go and spend the $320 for the Harmonic Balancer. Probably one of the cheapest MODS for the I6... Have a look at NOSXR's "6cyl 20% underdrive pulley" thread and it'll explain everything. After this you're logical path would be for a generic tune or custom tune. However I found with the Herrod exhaust and Air filter, my economy at casual driving was slashed and was happily enjoying 5-6L/100kms.From there, you have a few options of where to go... different tune shops have different paths to take. JMM or Nizpro both offer Decent packages. If you're a young fellow with a limit on Cash, I wouldn't recommend going to CAMS as this will need a specialised tune and will make your car drink petrol like a V8. TRUST me... If you've got the money, an intake manifold from JMM/Nizpro could be a move to...With Tyres, I found the Original Dunlops, on my 17's to have awesome grip but tended to be ripped to shreds when ever I went drifting... they were a bit soft and fragile once warmed up a bit. Other drivers might say other wise and that's fair, but for where I am in the country the Dunlop's at $175 a tyre were perfect for me. I recently bought new tyres for my 19's at just $260 a tyre. that's pretty good for 235/35...!Anyway, feel free to get in contact with any of your Local members of Team N/A and catch up or hang out, or even to get them to help out with installation of any mods.Keep on Growlin' and good luck with your modding quest... - DanielNA06XR
