I can't believe you guys. Once a week! I don't even wash it once a week let alone polish it!

Get out and enjoy the world!

Seriously, there isn't any real need to polish the thing any more than once every couple of months - once a month at most.

Mr Walker!

As our esteemed brother Ken has so profoundly stated "Half the fun is cleaning it".

Although he was remiss in not adding...."with a glass of your favourite suds" when he said "standing back and....etc;"

When it comes to the painful time when you sell your "Bird"....the extra effort in keeping it in 'Micky Duck' condition will pay dividends, just don't trade it in, sell privately.

Every time I was at my local dealers the sales and service people used to remark on my EL XR6 and how good it looked, when I came to trade it on the T I got an insulting price (mongrels)

BUT...that said....I did get a good price on the 'T' :D

This car is definately worth the extra effort

I used the Wet Look polish when I own a Ford Festiva , mags, spolier, lowered 2.5", Tickford badges (please don't shot me). It actually made the purple look a lot darker, infact an identical Festiva was parked next to it and the other owner was convinced that her paint had faded.

Great little car, infact you may remember the XR4 came out in the Festiva range. I was in Brisbane looking at an TS50 and a heap of Ford guys came out and looked all over my car, a couple of months latter the XR4 came out identical to mine right down to the Mag's same placings for the badges etc....

Cro, you ............ :D

Can you come up to BNE and polish our car, I'll pay you in alcohol.

Seriously, I have an important question, I'm after stuff that will reduce minor scratches, what's the best?

I'm thinking of using step one on the "GOLD CLASS" routine, the swirl reducer, then, "WET LOOK"

Plz ppl, what do you think? Or is it another trip back to

Supercheap Auto?

Yesterday I had paint protection applied to my car by a company called Polaris(www.polariscarcare.com), all swirls and scuffs are all gone from the car totally.

It's also guaranteed for 5 years no more polishing just wash with a mild detergent with out any wax.

I'm a little scepticle that it will last that long but we will have to wait and see.
