After 308 km and my first refill (filled it up when it had just under a quarter left), I calculated approx 16.5lt/100km mostly city driving. I haven't reset the fuel consumption reading and it has dropped from 22.5lt/100km when I picked it up to its current 17.8lt/100km.

When you consider its at the early stages of running in and the fact I've been very conscious of not letting the engine labour - trying to use the lowest gear without being stupid, I'm reasonably happy.

Maybe I'm being too soft??

Hopefully I'll be seeing <15l/100km in the not too distant future.

Mine only has 1100 on the clock - so its not runin yet. I'm getting about 15.5 in my normal driving (mostly city with some highway). When I took it to buderim - mostly highway I got about 12.0 for the trip.

But I havnt be pushing it very hard yet - wanted to take it nice and easy for the first 3000kms or so.

I have my trip computer set to instantaneous fuel consumption most of the tim e- and it is interesting to see that when you first step on it away from a stand-still it jumps to about 60l/100kms (due to the very low speeds obviously).

Here's a bit of fun (? :o ): instead of looking at the 'average', set the display to show instantaneous fuel consumption readings. Just cruzin' around normal like B) , the economy fluctuates anywhere from 7 point something per 100k to around mid 13s. Watch the display as you give it a kick, and see the numbers shoot up to 55 or 60, and even higher :o

Obviously these spikes will influence your average readings. So, guys who seem to be concerned (I'm looking at you Chrislak, and vik351), what 'instantaneous' figures are you getting when you are not driving the absolute sh!t out of your car?

I've seen the instantenous reading hit 79 but that was pushing it (hard) up Hindmarsh Hill in Canberra - my reading jumps all over the place from low 7s to low 20s. Average is 13.9 after 2300km.

I do notice that when I'm driving I can get the average down to around 13.6L but after the wife has had the car for a few days it mysteriously jumps up to over 14 - I thought I was the hoon in the family. ;)

Average city/highway 13.2-13.5ltrs/100km (12,000km on the clock). I tend to put my foot down a bit in the city, I can't get enough of it :D Highway only, less than 10ltrs/100km (Cruise control on, up/down the F3)

Anyway, I've had 98ltrs/100km instantaneous!!!! Just keep looking down for longer (Not recommended!! )

I've got almost 6,000 ks on the clock.

Highway (motorway) driving is around 10.5 L/100K's, City driving (mostly peak hour) is around 14.5 L/100K's. It's the stopping and starting at lights that screws the economy. Once it's going it's fine, but if you put the boot in it sucks more juice (obviously). I run Premium, and reckon the economy is pretty damn good for the weight and power...

I'm trying.

My T has 9600k's and this last tank full I have thrashed it. Full throttle starts almost every time (instantaneous hits 99.9 from stand still).

In manual mode with the traction off I can get both wheels spinning and leave the occasional twin blackie and the worst fuel economy I can manage is 14.6 indicated, or (14.1 actual).

So what the hell are you guys doing? :tonguepoke:
