What % of your driving is city/highway?

At the rate I'm going, my first fill of Optimax will cost me $1.30/litre. :(

Must admit mostly city driving and playing about alot but not giving it HEAPS. Have run it along the freeway a few times and the consumption does drop down to mid 14's. Still seems a bit high though. I'll give it a few weeks and try for a real good run on the freeway before I get concerned.

BTW - just using BP supplied ULP and paying about $1.04/lt. Haven't bothered with PULP since I donot believe it will make a worthwhile difference in performance

Dave , are you going by the computer Re: mid 14s?.... I really think this gizzmo is guessing?.. Only sure way is to set the kms when you fill up & take reading next fill.. Ours was pretty ordinary 1st couple of thousand Kms.. ( doesn't help having the "mandatory new toy play" either! ) Now over 3000 ks & big improvement! I'm a MPG man ( can't get my head around litres per Ks, or Ks per litre or whatever!).. But now averaging approx 22-23 MPG city, & taking it easy highway, up near 30mpg.. BUT put the boot in & watch the needle fall!.. I'm talking a manual also, which I reckon makes a big difference on the 100 -110ks open road stuff!

Thanks Charliewool, I'll take your advice and calculate it manually over the next few tanks and see how it looks.

Don't ask me why, but my fuel consumption is worse now (after 5000kms) than it was early on. Sure I'm giving it a little bit more throttle now, but the difference is about 12.5 at the start, to at least 14, 15 and higher a tank now (about the same mix of driving; city with some freeway)

This is more than my old windsor 5ltr AU XR8!!!! I'm not impressed actually

My trip computer is spot on based on manual calculations - 16.1l/100km (17.5MPG)

Hope it gets better

I've gone through 2 tanks of petrol now and mines down to 18.9l/100k, it seems to be coming down slowly, did any of you guys notice that when you first started driving you car, higher fuel usage.

I've done 6000k's down to 13L/100km's with mostly freeway km's.

Driven like i stole it since purchase.

Were pretty much identical, good considering the performance B)
