There is a thread on AFF about these rods.

From that thread it seems as though there aren't really many XR6T owners who know about these rods... mostly used in RB30 VL Turbo's.

Thanks for the link

It appears no one is using them yet as they are new to the T world. He did comment that 2 engines will be using them after their rebuilds are complete which should be within the month.

I might weight this one out for results..

If all goes well I might try to organise a group buy for these on this site :spoton:

I bought a set of argo rods on a group buy for $1177 all up including freight .the feedback and what I had heard about them I thought it was well worth the extra. it was a min buy of 8 sets and it was ment to be done by 1/3/07 but if you give them a call im sure they wont mind selling another set. their number is(02)4934-7099 just mention the group buy from this site.mine came the next day

I have just rebuilt my motor and just finished running it in with these rods, had to get the little end milled out to suit guegon pin, otherwise they are really well made and machined to size, were balanced very well also. I should be giving it a tune this weekend, because I only have the stock pistons im going for around 400rwkw

I have seen these rods used on 2 cars and there are no problems, the big thing when using them is matching the pistons to suit if that makes sense.

if you are chasing 350rwklw-470rwklw(manaul) then these rods will be good.

at the same time do not race into it as there are some good rods with very good results for about the same price.

I was looking at keeping standard pistons also, why did the little end need milling? Thanks Frank
