Had Greenstuffs on a car in the past and they were sweet - a bit dusty - but the dust washed off easy....

In the Renualt circles they have a good rep as they're a bit kinder to discs and Renault discs are exxy ;)

Greenstuff pads have been known to leave resin build up on slotted rotors. I think they might have fixed this with a new pad called Ultra Greenstuff. Dbasteve will be able to conferm this.

There definitely has been a lot less feedback of problems.

We haven't tested the new compound ourselves.

I had my brakes machined 2 time in :smilielol: 160000kms.

When I first when to ford they told me it my drivin(probably is)

then second time round they told that if it happens again there is

an upgrade they can do to it. Does any on know if this is true or is the

dealer just a clown. :smilielol:

Mate it is true, but the fix is only temporary, then you go back 3 months later and get another temp fix, the upgrade is a load of crap bandaid that lasts a few months, makes the rear discs swish if you want a hand brake, The only way to really fix the problem is to throw the whole sh!tfight in the bin and get new rotors and pads, and as this costs $1000, somebody at Ford should be publicy f$@ed as the standard brakes are simply total crap and can't stop you at high speed even if their not vibrating. Still Ford will remain in massive denial forever re this issue.

Well driving to work this morning the dreaded shutter has returned. My Ute has done just over 31,500kms. It was ok for about 4000kms and it has returned.

Back to ford I go :(

I'm amazed the people who have the brake shudder keep getting it after the rotors have been machined time and time again or even had the rotors replaced. I feel sorry for you guys, reoccuring problems, no matter what they are just rip your guts out.
