In the discs section he quoted me even though I have never met or spoken to this clown and then to top it off there was a quote that Ford and Expensive Daewoo use slag from their engine plants to make their O.E disc rotors. (Slag is a waste product from the iron melting process)Other than the fact that this does not happen and is not physically possible who would be stupid enough to put something so misleading in print. I hope Ford and Expensive Daewoo give this guy a major wedgie for this one.Steve

I was thinking of something similar - original caliper on the larger disc with a dogbone or whatever type of bracket is required. The extra braking torque of the bigger rotor would provide the majority of the 'premium brake' upgrade - moreso than a slightly bigger caliper that's still a twin spot slider - for $3000! What a joke! But, as Steve has pointed out the std caliper body isn't wide enough - that sucks.2. Dattoman, good to see that you're finally getting some perks out of your job. The modified brake scene in Perth wouldn't be the same without ya.

Posted 17/10/03 01:58 AM Share Posted 17/10/03 01:58 AM Just priced the Premium rotor & Caliper to suit from Ford dealer:Rotor $561 incl.GST ea.Caliper $665 incl.GST ea.These are retail prices & was also told that there is no braket as such to connect the caliper to the strut/stub axle? Even at these prices they still work out cheaper than if you had ordered them in the first place! Even cheaper if you know someone in the game or better still some one that is a ford employee!!!!
