Also, just had a call from Ford customer service to say that the "permanent" fix was in most dealerships. So anyone with shudder issues, book in to your ford dealer and see how you go.

AFAIK, Standard Machine Job.

There is no way I want the "perm" fix on my rotors that have been machined 3 times now.

I have lost count of the machine jobs done on mine so far.

Not to worried about the rotors, but then I havent really got any great expectations about this "permanent" fix. Notice its always in inverted commas.

I fully expect it to start shuddering again, and then I will go down the path of new rotors etc. I just want to see if the fix is indeed a fix.

My dealer told me the new calipers are made of softer material, he said the old caliper where made of a harder material, so what does that mean, I think if any of you guys do any track work you'll probably find the softer caliper may worp under above normal heat, like the bommadores do.

I think I'll keep my original calipers with the DBA's, they seem to work very well unless anyone can prove otherwise.

No new calipers AFAIK

Just the new machine job and new pad retaining clips. that's why I dont hold much faith in this being the permanent fix everyone is waiting for.

I've just had my machine job completed this morning in Adelaide.

I asked about fitting the new "90 degree Caliper Shims"............they sid that they were not aware of them...............30 minutes later the assistant Service Manager told me that they had just been advised by Ford about the caliper Shims. However they did not have them at this stage. I then requested that I be contacted when they got them.........he replied "no" we have to wait until they start to shudder again before they can be fitted????????

Does this sound like "BS"!! or what!!!!!!!:angry::angry:
