Mal, bend over and take it like the rest of us :( There is no fix available yet to my knowledge, unless you want to fork out some $$ for aftermarket brakes.

I honestly don't believe Ford will ever offer us a fix to this problem. Its been at least 8 months now that they have known about this problem and you tell me they are still trying to work it out, what a load of s**t.

Mines come back again for the 3rd time with only 8000k's, Fords probably going to keep on machining and only replacing the rotors when needed, it will be a nice money earner for them once the warranty period is up.

With a 3yr/100 000 km warranty on the rotors if think they will be sick of the sight of them by the time the warranties run out.

Just had mine machined for the first time at 10500.

My advisor assures me that there will be a permanent fix as soon as Ford are 100% sure on it.

The dealer is a supporter of the forum and are well aware of the fact we all know and share the info.

I reckon it will happen but I know that it allways takes a while for the big corporate wheel to turn around.

The fact is, as the cars are so poular they just cannot afford NOT to come up with a fix.

Hi a relative of mine owns a BA XR6 non turbo. The brakes have already been replaced around 10000km , it's now done 19000km and the problem is back. I think ford have a serious problem !!!!!

Fitted new front rotors on the weekend they where dba gold series which are crossdrilled and slotted what a differance it has made to the braking. On our cruise on sunday they got used hard and often no signs of any problems odl disc had warpped twice. retail price I think is around $200 each.

Auto 4500km (3500 of whichas done on our trip to Wagga Wagga and various day trips out from there) remaining has been city driving. No shudder at all, but is there a lag in the turbo kicking in when you floor it in the auto or is it just me?

I have 46000k+ on my Std XR6 Auto at aprox 8000k disks machined then again at 20000 odd K then replaced at 30000 odd Ks as I am on the road most days all over the state this does concern me as the shudder has just returned ever so slightly. This will need to be rectified at the next overdue service.
