I have DBA 4000 slotted rotors with RB24 pads and not had any issues now for over 3 months now. From what Race Brakes told me - pads can make a bit of difference. The pads were pretty cheap - here's my link for more info.http://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/findpost-t3284-p892128.htmlHope it helps you

RXENG Member 24 Member For: 17y 8m 27d Posted 19/04/10 02:50 AM Share Posted 19/04/10 02:50 AM The brake shudder on my 2005 XR6T is such a pain in the ass to the point it will almost shake the wheel out of my hands.I'm going to try replacing 1 thing at a time to try & figure out exactly what the culprit is.It does feel like a warped disc but I've had a good look over them all & can't see any evidence or any runout at all with the dial indicatorWill let you know what I find

I did that almost a year ago because of massive brake shudder and never looked back I don't know if its a testimony to putting my money where my mouth is, but I just wanted to continue the story which I started about a year ago here in post #1321 where I talked about my experiences doing my front brakes. Well, this morning, I had my rear brakes done as well - farrrkin smick looking too I've still got to run them in - probably take about 200km according to Roger there, but so far they are good.BA Rear DBA 4000 slotted rotors part numbers DBA4505SL and DBA4505SR ($166 each)Race Brake RB24 pads part numbers DB1086RB24 ($88 for pair)Supply and fitting is extra but Race Brakes can do that while you wait (only took me about 1 hour).By the way, DBA 4000 slotted rotors to suit BA front brakes (to get rid of brake shudder) are part numbers DBA4504SL and DBA4504SR ($166 each as well - there's been a price rise since I did them last year). Just quote that you are from FordXR6Turbo to get the special prices Hope this helps you guys and feel free to ask me anything about my experience with the brake setup I got

Tell tale signs of the bushes being worn are slight “wheel balance needed feeling when driving” and of course the whole warped disc brake shudder feel on braking. If you replace your rotors and this problem still is there you’ll need to got down to your local suspension workshop and get a quote on replacing the bushes. Also while your there ask about getting your diff bush checked as well cause that bush cops a beating deluxe! Sharpy82 Member 29 Member For: 16y 2m 13d Posted 31/07/10 05:07 AM Share Posted 31/07/10 05:07 AM Had factory brake rotors machined at 50 000, at 100000 the shudder was so bad I replaced them with dba slotted rotors and bendix premiums, not a shudder since. And huge improvement in brake stopping.

I think most peoples shudder isnt related to a missing part.
