Ive started devloping shudder in the last couple of 1000 kms.

I had the car at the dealer yesterday for the 15000 service so they machines the disks and installed the shims.

They tell me that they havent had a single problem on a car with the new shims...time will tell

My brakes only shudder when I'm up it for the rent. After they cool down the shudder goes. But it does not take long for the breaks to get the shudder. Hard on the breaks at about 160km and slow to about 110km two or three times in a row will do it. The shudder gets really bad

I'm putting my car in for the 15,000km service next week. Hope the new fix will fix the problem.

Cheers

Brent

Hey DBA Steve,

it'd seem that your in posession on some new photos that should be entered into the photo gallery, namely taken from the J-Lo angle.

 Have a Dec02 build XR6T, manual. At approx 15,000kms brake shudder commenced. Doing both country and city driving. Was told Ford are aware of the problem. Had them machined and they said it would fix the problem. Tis now 30,000kms and the shudder is now returning. Booked in again for another machine.

Ford say it's due to the discs getting hot. Bloody hell summer is coming.
