Good to hear you got it sorted mate.

Ive got a BFMKII XR6t, 21500k's, no shudder but plenty of squeeling when coming to a stop :bangcomputer: . Booked into ford to get looked at for the 30k service.

I just got mine fixed with DBA slotters and forodo pads, stopped the shudder but now when I go hard on the brakes there a sort of metal grinding feeling through the pedal. Is this just the brakes wearing in or what?

65000 k brakes all good, however did experience a tad of brake shuder on the last QLD cruise, I suspect it was gas venting, that and following slow ass Tab.

The squeeling is usually on light brake applications, and is probably coming from the rear brakes. My brake guy has had success eliminating this by using a slightly lower temp/quality pad which warms faster and wont squeel due to being 'cold'. Had my rear pads face sanded when I replaced the fronts with ferodo ds 2000 pads-awesome pad!!Hope this helps?

my car has a very bad shudder, especially at higher speeds and then slowing for traffic. I have changed to aftermarket rims, so is there any use in me going back to ford, or will they not cover it due to the rims. car is still under warranty. or how much is it to have the disks machined and such to fix the problem?

It'll be back. I've had my XR6T since new and it's now done 135,000k's and when I take it for it's service, it will definitely need the discs machined......again.

Bugger.

Only way to get rid of it totally sounds like getting aftermarket

rotors. Anyone know how much for DBA Slotted Rotors?
