After replacing this, I was going to put the wheels back on without the black pizza tray dust covers (so I can see what I spent my money on!).I was reading JR's website (he posts here occasionally, mainly on FF) and he said that he had a nightmare of a time getting the wheels off after removing the dust covers. Seemed to get seized on, due to lack of dust cover. Anyone else experience this?Have had the permanent fix from Ford for a couple of weeks now, no good, still shudders. Time to actually fix the problem... No dustcovers, DBA Gold Drilled and Slotted, Bendix Ultimates and NO SHUDDER :D I have cleaned the hub carefully (it was quite rusty) applied some copper grease between the hub and the disc, and also around the center where the wheel fits.Recently removed the front wheels due to the fitting of Bendix Ultimates, and the wheels came of really easily, no problem Only reason the wheel may be a bit tighter after removing the dust plates, is that they actually get squeezed a bit harder over the center bit, as the dust covers are about 1 mm thick. DBA are australias biggest brake manufacturer and chances are your local brake huy deals with them daily any way. A friend at work just had a set of slotted DBA rotors fitted to his VN Senator and they were only $140 each for the rotors, he only got the front done. Posted 14/10/03 04:56 PM Share Posted 14/10/03 04:56 PM Just a thought!? I am right in asuming that the standard calipers & the calipers used on the Premium brakes are the same except for the blue painted finish????If this is the case, to eliminate the brake shudder issue why couldn't you upgrade to the premium rotors using your exisiting caliper along with any brackets & bolts that were needed to perform this upgrade????The only limiting factor I can see would be cost as I would expect the premium rotor from ford is probably double or even triple that of a DBA gold rotor? From my understanding the Premium calipers are the exact same spec, but assembled to a finer tolerance and painted. They then mount on additional brackets to take the 330mm discs.I'm fairly sure DBA already has a 330mm preium replaceement disc.So in theory it'd take pads, discs and the brackets to do the conversion. It's something I'd be interested in trying A.

Guest dbasteve Guests Posted 15/10/03 02:58 AM Share Posted 15/10/03 02:58 AM Can't get the calipers yet, I've tried. The premium rotor is 32mm thick and the standard is 28mm. It's a different caliper body.We make the Premium rotors for the Police. 325mm x 32mm

Then again a set of Premium calipers will be cheap in a year or two and genuine used parts Set of DBA discs and w00t!
