OK, this is a question for those that have replaced their rotors already.

I am about to order slotted disks all round, as well as Bendix Ultimate pads. After replacing this, I was going to put the wheels back on without the black pizza tray dust covers (so I can see what I spent my money on!).

I was reading JR's website (he posts here occasionally, mainly on FF) and he said that he had a nightmare of a time getting the wheels off after removing the dust covers. Seemed to get seized on, due to lack of dust cover. Anyone else experience this?

Have had the permanent fix from Ford for a couple of weeks now, no good, still shudders. Time to actually fix the problem...

I have slotted rotors with Bendix Ultimates and 18" after market wheels. I haven't had the dust covers on since the car was new and never have any trouble getting the wheels off.

I have slotted rotors with bendix ulitimates and 19inch after market wheels and they came off easy the other day when I fitted the new shims, don't know what the new shims are supposed to do but my dealer gave them to me so I thought I'd throw them in and see what happens, absolutely jack sh.., the car stops and feels as good with the original shims.

Hey Moderators is it possible to start another poll with in this thread to see how many more people are actually getting brake shudder now, I know of a few people who voted no to having a problem and since then have developed the problem.

hello peoples I have brake shudder bad,ive got a xr6t manual and its done 20,000ks,now I know its noy just the bad sydney roads so its going in to get checked/.by the way I done a tour of the dba factory and they said the biggest problem with ford rotors are the way they make them,so it looks like aftermarket set up is the way 2 go.pitty on ford for selling a 50,000 dollar car and still no decent brakes.

Thanks for the reply Benny and chrislak.

Do you think the aftermarket wheels may also affect this issue? Anyone care to add their experiences with removing the black disks with the standard (17 or 18) wheels?

Thanks.
