After replacing this, I was going to put the wheels back on without the black pizza tray dust covers (so I can see what I spent my money on!).I was reading JR's website (he posts here occasionally, mainly on FF) and he said that he had a nightmare of a time getting the wheels off after removing the dust covers. Seemed to get seized on, due to lack of dust cover. Anyone else experience this?Have had the permanent fix from Ford for a couple of weeks now, no good, still shudders. Time to actually fix the problem...

I haven't had the dust covers on since the car was new and never have any trouble getting the wheels off.

Lifetime Members 1,605 Member For: 22y 20d Gender: Male Location: Steel City, NSW Posted 13/10/03 05:32 AM Share Posted 13/10/03 05:32 AM Thanks for the reply Benny and chrislak.Do you think the aftermarket wheels may also affect this issue? Anyone care to add their experiences with removing the black disks with the standard (17 or 18) wheels? Thanks.
