meyek3 Member 20 Member For: 21y 4m 20d Location: Adelaide Posted 30/07/03 04:40 PM Share Posted 30/07/03 04:40 PM I have a manual XR6T with standard brakes. Mostly city driving. I now have just under 6700km on the clock and have had no brake problems to speak of. Hi, I have recently ordered a Black XR6Turbo, and I havent ordered the Premium Brakes, does anyone have the standard brakes on an XR6Turbo, and if so has anyone experienced brake fade or spongy pedal. I'm just trying to get an idea of what the standard brakes are like compared to the Premium deal. Any help would be good since I could still have time to change my order.Cheers

No more torture for you anymore Chris.Brakes that actually work for not much cash is a good feeling.Just think of the time you are going to save not going back and forth to the dealer.Keep us all up to date in the next couple of days with your thoughts.Best thing I did,Only wish like you I did not replace them ages ago. Im a very busy person and going back to the dealers ever 2000k's is a waste of my time and at the moment nothing pees me off more than the word machining at the moment. The car actually feels like it wants to launch out of the windscreen when you braking. The guys that still want to wait for the fix remember one thing what ever standard rotors Ford brings out they wont be as go as these DBA slotted rotors.
