My old car was a series 11 Au fairmont and it had brake shudder constantly until I replaced the pads with a good performance set. Shudder then disappeared and never came back.

FIRST POST!!!

:nono:

have noticed the shuddering for a few months, although it hasn't been real bad but was getting worse. just clocked up 35000km. booked into ford yesterday and they machined one disc and replaced the other which had hot spots.... Is now going great. Anyway, just found this site the other night and its great. Well done to the mods.

Had the rotors skimmed at 8500km and again at 24,000km they were worse the second time to the point that my wife would not drive the car.

Am still concerned about the "Vagueness" with the brakes under heavy braking, seems to wander a bit.

Have had the hand brake adjusted twice, last time it would not hold the car at all.

Love the car but don't like the brakes :spoton::k24t::drunk:

Just cheap crap manufacturing I think? They (Ford) probably consider it cheaper to listen to us moan and just skim the rotors as required ? :censored::kissmy:
