Mine only had the tiniest of shidder & I'm glad it is gone. I do feel sorry for those with big dramas. Loving the smell of those new pads

Scotty

Hey scotty when you got the ford dealers to put the QFM pads on, did they end up charging you for it?

Had my rotors machined today for the 2nd at 31k's new shims fitted & QFM's as well. Hadn't been machined since 14k's. They weren't real; bad but I wanted to put the QFM's on.

Scotty

How are you finding the QFM pads Scotty? Is there much dust or noise? How do they stop compared to the standard pads?

Geea.

Have done 400k's since they were fitted on Thursday, been to Marburg early this morning (that cold early morning air is yum.) Had some runs & stops yesterday at around 200kph with 4 lads aboard & it does seem to stop better certainely gives me more confidence. So far so good!!

waxyjj,

the brake shop on Redland Bay Road Capalaba up the easement 1st driveway as you head towards Ney Road from the Moreton bay road lights. $55 they retail for.

Guys,

I have done 47,000km so far and just had the 45K service. I had the brakes machines again due to a slight shutter. (I do have the fix). I was advised that the disks are getting a bit thin and may need replacing in the next service. Has anyone else had did replaced nuder warranty due to over machineing?

As my car is onlyt 12 months old and 47,000ks there is no issue with Ford replacing them, but I would hate to be at the end of the warranty and need to come up with $$ to replace them due to this issue..

I can not complain about the service I receive from my dealer re this. they allways appear give me the truth re what they know / what we know via the back door (forum)

my t has just had 30000km service and front discks replaced due to brake shudder. it was the sixth time in for brake shudder and after a call to ford customer care centre to let them know how displeased I was over the situation, they contacted the dealer and gave them the authority to replace the discks.

funny thing is they didn't replace the pads.

Brake pads are not a warranty item as such they are a service item and only will be replaced at your expence when needed or if you ask for them.

EVERY ONE I WOULD RECOMMEND YOU HAVE YOUR PADS REPLACED WITH QFM OR SOMETHING ELSE THAT OTHER MEMBERS HAVE USED AS THE FORD PADS WILL ONLY BRING BACK THE SHUDDER. IT IS NOT THE DISC'S...

Totally agree with you. I am past 20000km since I changed mine, no shudder, with 2 track days done in that time.
