Paint around fuel filler is sh$t , you can almost see the undercoat. I Noticed problem week or so after delivery , when washing the car. The question I have is , 1. if I get ford/dealer to respray how noticeable will it be vs will it rust etc where paint is thin? Most people can only see it when shown where to look and it dosent really bother me if it isn't going to be long term problem (rust out etc)2. I got the car done with a clear coat(dimension4 they called it ?) would ford re apply extra coat after re spray??? or would this be wishful thinking???? I know it's mostly digital noise in photo but ,still looks like problem.

Then again, mines white..

When I spoke about this at the dealership, they agreed and I just need to take th car to a repair shop near the dealership to line up the rectification. But, here they are, actively reducing weight on their current models. to all those doubters

I told them I can understand that these are mass produced cars and their a budget orientated car but if this car was a BMW or mercedes with a high price I said I wouldnt even sign the pre-delivery inspection forms as the quality is pathetic and pure LAZY.they offered to have my car checked out thoroughly at ford for paint flaws and I said dont worry about it cuz youll end up having to spray every single BA on the showroom floor as theyve all got orange peel! a true paintjob should be rubbed back with 700 after the colour coat and then a final top coat applied. the result is a mirror finish with PERFECTLY flat paint. no bloody orange peel
