If so you can't really do anything but replace it

Posted 24/02/07 10:48 PM Share Posted 24/02/07 10:48 PM (edited) Hey Pete...Is it idling really roughly? Like it's only running on a couple of cylinders?I had a similar problem a while ago, and it was a breather hose from the inlet manifold if my memory serves me correctly...Now I know you have the Stage 2 and stuff with the Nizpro plenum but it may still be the same thing, in my case the hose had blown off. It literally made the car completely undriveable.Hope that helps...Jack Edited 24/02/07 10:50 PM by XR6T8_U

exahsix Member 296 Member For: 19y 3m 25d Location: Monterey, NSW Posted 25/02/07 03:15 AM Share Posted 25/02/07 03:15 AM it's definately your throttle position sensor. I had EXACTLY the same problem a few months ago, and the ECU was throwing up error codes for throttle. $45 at Ford should get you out of trouble. Be CAREFUL undoing the two screws that hold the TPS in, they are loctited in and break easily. I had to tap the threads again to fit new (larger) screws.
