hey all, seen a cheap car DVD player on Ebay. In addition to the usual RCA outputs for sound and video, it has also got a socket for VGA output.

Do the gurus out there know if the VGA signal out there can be wired into our screens (premium of course) or if we still have to go through an RGB converter.

I would have thought that a VGA signal has RGB separated in it and choosing the right wires will let it hook straight up.

Keen to hear from those in the know with these types of signals.

cheers

the short answer is NO it will not work.

the reason being is that a VGA signal will output a minimum sync frequency of 60hz. to sucessfully use the ICC screen you need to sync the image at 30hz.
