04RSD Member 78 Member For: 18y 7m 29d Posted 01/03/07 11:21 PM Share Posted 01/03/07 11:21 PM dirty32 you will not go wrong with the pedders set up I have the exact same thing and it is awsome, the best part is the hieght is adjustable front is obvious, but rear you can adjust the height 7 or 14mm either way.they are the only leafs that can, that's why I got em so I could fine tune my final height.sway bars are a must I have whiteline 30 on front and 22 on back if you think lowering makes it handle better wiat till you do the sway bars.cheers Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/32733-suspension-and-handling/page/2/#findComment-503004 Share on other sites
dcidar Member 2 Member For: 18y 8m 26d Posted 04/03/07 02:25 AM Share Posted 04/03/07 02:25 AM I had king springs super-lows with the standard shocks for a while then upgraded to bilstein shocks and what difference they made...less floatiness as they seem to suck you to the road over crests.....worth the extra grand they cost me Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/32733-suspension-and-handling/page/2/#findComment-503912 Share on other sites

sport Member 62 Member For: 22y 1m 9d Posted 06/03/07 10:20 AM Share Posted 06/03/07 10:20 AM I fitted king springs all round with bilstein shocks to my Tornado with 30mm & 22mm whitelines and it fantastic. Bilsteins made a huge difference. One thing really puzzles me when I read this forum is the number of people that fit camber kits when they lower their utes ??? I have had a BA I XR6T a BF XR6T and now a BF F6 Tornado and they have all had camber kits standard from the factory so why get conned into paying for it again. (how do you tell ??? bolts from upper control arms will protrude about 10mm - 15mm past the nut on the inside of the shocker tower - simple as that) And yes I can get the necessary range of camber & castor adjustment. Good luck. Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/32733-suspension-and-handling/page/2/#findComment-504749 Share on other sites

I ended up getting the pedders lowered leafs and there really good! Pedders threw in another spacer so I have it on the lowest setting plus about 7mm. and I got them for 315$ Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/32733-suspension-and-handling/page/2/#findComment-504795 Share on other sites

Thats purely my opinion.I got the front srings changed. Koni reds all round and the rear adjusted so the ute is 15mm lower at the front and 20mm at the rear. I also have a 30mm front sway bar and a 21mm rear bay. My car hands like a go kart now. I rear bar may not be to everybodys tastes tho as i does add a bit of oversteer.Lemme know if you would like to take it for a spin to compare it to Rus's ute. I had ian at wilko's fit the konis all round, kings ssl, reset rears as I dont use it as a ute and a front 30mm bar.. its probably too low now its settled but it looks dam fine.. simon(xtreme) has now changed my dyno printouts and account name to daves stupidest lowest ute ever wont even go up his new workshop driveway without scraping the exhaust.. if I can make time and come up for the sunday night cruise hopefully I will get over the speedhumps in kings park!
