Guest rpmjunky Guests Posted 22/05/03 01:09 PM Share Posted 22/05/03 01:09 PM very happy picked up my "T" today from westpoint ford and then drove it home from melbourne to adelaide, not to good a road when ure looking to open it up to see what it will do, very enjoyable to drive on hyway.just on question after drving for about an hour pulled up at a set of traffic lights and while idling I could hear a clicking from the engine bay, not the fan or a/c, when I got out and lifted the bonnet you can really hear the injectors clicking away, is this the way they are supposed to sound. One of the users here, a friend of mine here in brissy who's driven his car to perth & back, its now done well over 20,000. k's had a new battery fitted after his original jobbie dropped a cell. He fitted a battery with a higher cranking capacity & reported hearing more injector noise from the more powerful battery. Not that there's any benefit but there's no harm.Scotty Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/3269-picked-up-2day-melb-adelelaide/#findComment-24362 Share on other sites
Guest rpmjunky Guests Posted 25/05/03 10:20 AM Share Posted 25/05/03 10:20 AM yeah ive heard injector noise before that's why I wasnt to worried but not a loud as this I can hear it in the can while idling. and when I have been idling for about three or four minutes there is a valve which opens up to vent gas which vibrates on the body which makes a clicking noise aswell, or so the ford guy says.
