Any One Play Online Poker

Recently I've been learning to play poker and was thinking about playing online. Not interested in playing for big money but a few bucks a hand to make things interesting. Anyone have any experience and what sites do you use?

I've had a hack on partypoker.com before..

if you sign up there they will give you 1000$ credit a day to play without spending money.. its pretty fun, and I hacked it out for a week or so and ended up even!

never played for actual money, but partypoker has that option too..

I play pacific poker, you can either play for real money or you can play just for fun but you still have your account were it saves all your fake money. Its alot of fun I tell you that.

There are heaps of poker sites on line, havent played any of them so I can't comment. If you wan't to play face to face which I thinks more fun, then try the "Australian poker league or national poker league" you should be able to find a game or two in your area every night.

yeh I play every couple of weeks with my friends.. its a great night!

we just make it 20 bucks buy in.. second place gets money back and the winner takes the rest!

even with low money better it makes it a whole lot more interesting than playing with fake stuff (as I wasted hours on my xbox doing

I find absolute poker the best site. you can even win money off fake money if that makes sense

Just as a warning to all with regards to online gaming...

One of my best mates just lost his apartment and his girlfriend over online poker... he played the free games for nothing first up, around 2 or 3 months, he then seemed pretty good at it and thought he'd have a real go with the real folding...

Needless to say, we (his mates) only found out about it after he went downhill, QUICKLY, he now owes nearly 10k from something he thought he had control of...

Now I'm not saying this will be you, but beware and be aware of what it can do... I would never have thought that my mate would be able to EVER get himself in the situation that he currently finds himself.

I'm not about to try and turn you or anyone else off online poker... if anything, if you enjoy it, go for it, I'm all about being aware of it, just beware of the issues with it, but when it all started my mate didn't have a credit card either. He had 15K in the bank towards a home loan, he was on his way. He now has 2 credit cards... he didn't mention anything until it was too late. And believe me it could of been far worse than it is for him, he never stole from his work, he never did any of that sh!I, he took it upon himself to try and get out of it... it didn't work. And that is when we found out. I now hold one of his credit cards, and another one of my mates holds the other. All pins have changed. I'm his mate, so I'll do that for him, I'll do anything for him, but I WILL NOT fund his gambling. Everyone has a weakness of some sort... this is SO obviously his.

I play for free on Ultimate Bet. I occasionally play for money with friends and have played once at Canberra 'Casino' (its a glorified gaming room, who are they kidding?!).

As for someone losing thousands playing online...dont blame the game, the fella in question was obviously very very unwise (gee, how diplomatic am I?).

theres a lot of free info in the web regarding texas hold 'em strategy and tips - read well and you'll be a better player.
