Seven’s commitment to Australia’s fastest growing sport sees television coverage up 70 per cent on 2006. This year, Seven will broadcast 157½ hours of V8 Supercars and the sports support categories – the Fujitsu V8 Supercar Series, V8 Utes, Carrera Cup and Formula Ford – along with a dedicated television programme focusing only on V8 Supercars. Seven’s commitment to V8 Supercars commences this Saturday with a one hour programme profiling the drivers and teams and this year’s Championship “Seven will dedicate approximately 50 per cent more coverage than we had anticipated – around double that of 2006. “As the flagship of the Championship the Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000 will receive a record 20 hours of coverage. Signature events such as the Clipsal 500 (9 hours), the Gold Coast Indy (12 hours) and the Sandown 500 (8 hours) will receive extensive coverage and the telecast of Eastern Creek has been extended to three days,” Mr Cochrane said. The full article is here if you’re interested. Was initially concerned with the swap, but it could turn out to be a good thing. I’d better get the bean-bag topped up and ready for the big season! This is due to Channel 7's contract to show the AFL Games on a Sunday Arvo. I am a bit worried about this. If it is true it will suck big time.I think the presenters will be Neil Crompton in the Booth. Grant Denyer and Mark Barretta in the pits. Plus some other guy from 7 in Canberra.Only time will tell...

It seems the Red team can do what they like.Bring back stock sedans with a roll cage so its racing the cars we can buy. It would be far more interesting. That's my two bobs worth and I feel better for saying it.
