Good info on the swap

Is the rear housing and acutator avalible interstate as a exchange part?

I do believe some turbo companies do a "exchange" program.. But enquiring to two of them, they were talking around the $350 - $400 mark.. bit rich in my opinion..

Danny

UMM a bit $$$$

Oh by the way those DEKA injectors you got for me were great thanks dan (Forgot to post I received them) as soon as I get it all sorted ill post the results.

Yes and no.. Do it yourself. I think could be cost benficial... but you would have to be handy with a spanner or two...

Good to hear you got good results from those injectors. I've installed a number of them so far was great results

A update,

Since doing my wastegate flapper and actuator, we done Johnny's wastegate flapper and 12psi actuator yesterday.

However, this time, instead of paying someone to do the wastegate porting and welding the new flapper in, we done it all ourselves.

This looks somewhat familiar ..

Yes, that is a custom intake pipe.. Similar to the aps setup.. Worth it over std plumbing? 500%

We're waiting for it to undo itself and jump out

Yes. My handy Tig work..

Johnny is no longer a dentist, we can show you his face now

After doing johns, We prooved exactly how restrictive the std plumbing is... Sure, we already noticed that when I had to lower the boost duty cycle to bring the boost down to the same level.

But in comparison, My car, running same 13psi boost with same 12psi actuator, has .5 duty cycle, johns has .17 duty cycle, All because of the non restrictive intercooler.

I dont mean to disscredit your work even APS do it, but I dont understand how that piping is any better it still runs a fair length of pipe to get to the cooler.

I know you have incressed the diamter of the pipe but I thought sorting the path of the air flow was the key????

Pull the pipe out under the battery tray. You will see that 1" diamater pipe does no justice.. its a major restriction (after the std intercooler restriction)..

Its air speed that is the important factor. that and a smooth flowing system will out perform a system that changes diameter at every bend
