I have the results of my time in melbourne with the capable men at Nizpro...Results: Part (1) - Dropped car in on Monday, Simon did a power run as a base on monday and apparently ran an interestingly low 172rwkw... Simon orderd a 4495 and had a look, thought it was interesting but said that the extractors hadn't accounted for firing order. At that point he decided to construct his own and said he would put a BF turbo exhaust on the end. I agreed and work began. Phone call on wednesday afternoon work had been completed and they were about to do a run and then start tuning.Part (2) - Gave Simon a ring about thursday late morning (11:30ish) and he said they've been tuning it all over the place and haven't been able to make any power and were about to begin a Leakage test and to give them a call later that afternoon. Heart Sinks and mind goes wild with thoughts... End result was that cylinder 2 was leaking 13% and cylinder 3 leaking 35%... (the rest were 5% or less)... the Car was NOT going to make power in its current state... End result was apparently a power figure of 176 or so... Car is running fine though and went all the way to parkes from melbourne without any trouble...EvaluationMy end evaluation of the time is that something has to have gone wrong somewhere. My last dyno run since Nizpro was C&V's which on their Dyno 2 mths ago ran 188rwkw... since then at nizpro's ending up being 172... that's a QUICK drop in 2 mths... so something's going on...Car is going into my local trusted Ford workshop for analysis for the rest of the week at which point I'll have to look at cylinder repair or Bottom end replacement (or other depending on result of analysis)...Away from that topic... the exhaust and extractors...the Extractors are a MEAN piece of work ! ! !It looks similar if not exactly like the photos at the exhaust/extractor thread resembling a look alike turbo or a snail shell... the Exhaust is silent mostly and has an improvement on midrange torque and response...Overall its gone alright except the part where I've found out I'm losing compression... So I'll keep everyone updated on whats happening...(I think I'll adjust my signature appropriately...)Daniel

Simon let on...He has completed a crate BA 4.0L engine for a super sedan which had a resulting power figure of 385 Fly wheel kilowatts...that's our potential guys!!! Guest Guests Posted 11/04/07 04:58 AM Share Posted 11/04/07 04:58 AM heres my old time slip for a 15.003 run at WSID its still my PB without NOS as the clutch is on deaths door and needs to go.These days with over 35 rwkw more power than when I did the 15.003 pass I just go slower which shows the limit of the stock clutch to be very low. A well set up manual should be better than an auto, considering less RWKW are chewed up through the auto. Consistency with the auto is going to be better depending on the driver. I have no complaints anyway.
