Ive had my BOV to the atmosphere now for 1.5 years and the sounds was good.

Yesterday I put a Monza filter on it and it does not sound so sharp any more but more of a shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh (long one).

Just my experience.

Its coming off tomorrow.

BTW for a year and and half ive had no filter and had no problems. My turbo still looks great.

Cheers

Adrian

that's how mine is too.. do you get a quiet psshh at most rpm?? regardless if it has built any boost? then it'll give the louder psshh tututu when it actually builds boost.

Yep that's it

I seriously doubt it will do any damage to the car full stop.

When it does suck in air under vacuum during idle and offboost cruising it will go stright into the TB and into the cylinders and never see your turbo so the turbs itself will never be damaged in this way (it's impossible).
